Review:

Miss Grace immediately opened up the bones kit and wanted to start buiilding her skeleton!

But first she wanted ya'll to have a 'high five'!

You can see that the 'bones' are decent sized- they aren't itty bitty, but aren't huge either. You get a one page diagram, with  the break down of how to put it together, and what it should look like, when completed. This may sound bad, but it actually is all you need.

As you can see, it was easy enough for her to follow along with, once she realized she had the arm and hip bones reversed! LOL.

All the 'bones' snap into each other, but can be taken apart, in case you get a wrong 'bone' in the wrong joint. I love how the joint are articulated, so you can see the full range of motion of the bones in their sockets- it was very enlightening to Miss Grace.

Once we had the upper body down, we had a discussion on shoulder and rib injuries (calling future doctor 101...). I would suggest making the body in three parts, as we did, to allow for easier putting together. Do the upper body, then the lower body. Attach the head to the upper body, the combined upper to the lower body.

The skeleton can then hang on it's stand, for easy perusal, while reading the book.

The book has an amazing amount of facts in each page, accompanied with cute drawings and activities, that allow kids to think about what they have learned, and apply it.

The book is suitable for kids ages 6 and up. I was thrilled to see how Miss Grace grabbed the book and started reading and completing activities, she was SO entranced with it!

This is a super fun set that would be perfect for homeschoolers, or those who are interested in learning all about the body. It would be a great gift, as it would be a gift that keeps on giving!
