If you have kids younger than 9, you've probably sat thru just about every cartoon for kids, right?

Hopefully your kids love Veggie Tales, but they may see them as 'old' and 'boring', so how do you find great shows for your kids, that teach valuable lessons?

About
Owlegories
Owlegories is a new animated series, and interactive digital app, that teaches kids about God through the amazing things found in nature and revealed in God’s Word.

Thomas Boto and his wife Julie, with the help of their four young boys, are the creators of Owlegories, and the original interactive storybook app on which the animated series is based. “You can tell a lot about an artist by what he creates” is the premise behind Owlegories. Taking inspiration from the series banner verse, Psalm 19:1-4, Owlegories addresses the important theme of creation and explores the nature of God as the Creator of the Universe through the use of allegories, metaphors and analogies.

The animated series, which follows a group of student owls as they travel on adventures learning about nature, faith and God, was brought to life with the help of Producer Chad Gundersen and Co-writer/Co-director Keith Alcorn, co-creator/ producer of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and executive producer of The Ant Bully

The series features characters that young kids can relate to- the girly girl, the lovable sweetheart, the explorer, the brainiac, the little brother tag along, the misunderstood bad guy and the lovable teacher. The kids are modern in their language usage and affections, making them seem very realistic to kids. Each episode has a theme, and the owls go on an adventure to learn about it. Back at school they recap what they have learned. This is a great re-enforcement tool for kids memories, as is the use of the series verse each show, as a way to memorize bible verses. In the Uncle Si episode, which we previewed, he also gave a 5 minute talk after the video, talking about the show and what the kids have learned, giving another re-enforcement tool. Miss Grace was easily able to repeat back to me the 3 gifts that God gives us, thanks to the way the show taught the,.

We really can't recommend this series enough, as a great way to teach kids valuable lessons, and to bring the bible into their lives, in a way that they can understand and relate to.

For info on the series and app, check out Owlegories website today,
