While working at Focus on the Family, two of her original stories were recognized by the Evangelical Press Association, including first place in the fiction category. Her nonfiction books for young readers have reached a wide audience—including Breaking Through by Grace: The Bono Story and Defender of Faith: The Mike Fisher Story.
About the Illustrator:
Jacqueline has been illustrating children's books for many years. She has worked above a chocolate factory, from a caravan by the sea, and now works from home near a city farm with her faithful dog curled up near her feet. She has illustrated books that have been published across the globe, and when asked what her inspiration is, she says, "everything!"

This is a lovely cookbook, perfect for introducing younger children to cooking with their parents, or older siblings!

The recipes are divided into 6 groups, of 7 recipes each- Valentine's Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Fall, Thanksgiving and Christmas Each section is prefaced with a page of gospel and tales from the Berenstain Bears. This is an adorable book, of easy recipes, that would be perfect for gift giving, no matter the time of year, and for a Family based hostess present too!

Check out this great recipe for Caramel Apple 'nachos' (recipe below) that is a great way to get that caramel apple flavor without little tykes having to try to eat through a large apple dipped in multiple layers of caramel! Mike Berenstain
Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bear books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005, and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from the family home and studio in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks much like the sunny dirt road deep in Bear Country.
