So we decided to put it to the test! Here it is- a full tumbler of ice. It was left on the dining room table, in an air conditioned house at 72 degrees. So not ice cold, or outside, but just a general test.

The ice has ONLY gone down about 1/4th. Hmmmm The cup has not been moved. With the lid having a sip opening, I've finding this test pretty amazing, as air CAN get into the cup, unlike my favorite coffee travel mugs, that work for 8 hours!

But I should have checked the construction better! The tumbler is made of premium, kitchen grade 18/8, 304 stainless steel with dual wall design. This construction eliminates annoying sweat, and destroys any need you have for plastic and glass cups. Ok, NOW I'm into stunned! 

Seriously. I can not believe the ice formed into a block and the water is glacier ice cold!

 The wide-mouth, shatter resistant, leak proof lid, with its opening that fits nearly all stainless steel straws, is NOT affecting the level of loss! The fact that the opening has NOT been closed off, and the ice still hasn't melted is puzzling, but great!

Ok, we accidentally erased the 36 hours photo. SIGH. But there was about 1/4 of the ice still there

WOWSA the last dregs of ice barely hanging on! 

The ice only lasted about another 2 hours, but I forgot to take a picture. 

The water was STILL ice cold. Shocking. 

It performed BETTER than a friend's high dollar cup. Huh, who'da thought?

We did have an oopsie after the last picture above- the kid knocked the tumbler over. BUT thanks to the slanted design of the lid, only a little of the water ran onto the lid before we could pick the tumbler up, and there was no overflow to the table. Also pretty impressive!

Afterward cleaning the cup (soap and water, NO dishwasher), I tried the tumbler with hot coffee, and was impressed that I was able to easily pick up the tumbler- it never got too hot, or required a holder to pick it up! And even after sitting in the hot car for an hour, with Iced Coffee in it, the tumbler never broke a sweat either! Color me convinced!
