Review:

This is a small, but very handy little recipe book, full of healthy, nutrient (power) packed foods! The 100 recipes include those to Jump Start your day, give you an Energy boost, are super Protein Packed, offer a Fresh Burst, or a Slow Release and give a Sweet Fix. But ALL contain healthy, wholesome ingredients. So if you're on a healthy diet, looking to change your diet, or have kids with diet restrictions, this is a book that can meet all those needs. I love how the recipes are coded in the top left corner with the main power ingredient- ie pumpkin seeds, root vegetables, fruit, coconut milk, etc (see above pix), to give you an idea about the recipe at a quick glance. Additionally, you have features like this one for pumpkin seeds:

These featurettes offer information about why the item is a power food and advice about it. Which means that this book is more than just a small cookbook, it is a great way to immerse yourself in healthy, power packed eating! The recipes are pretty simple and for the most part include ingredients you can find at your local grocery store or farmers market! Most of the recipes serve 2-4 people, but all are easily doubled, if you are making them for a larger number of servings. If you are looking to keep up with healthy eating during the Fall season, this is the book for you!
