Ahhhh Thanksgiving week.....

You know what that means...

Well yes, lots of turkey and relatives galore,
but ALSO that time when we get to watch CHRISTMAS movies with glee and utter joy.

No worry about hiding what we're watching, we can shout the dialogue out with holiday cheer,
so you'll understand why the following caught our eye!

Parents magazine has partnered with movie-review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes,
to unveil their picks for the “10 Best Holiday Movies of All Time.”

To come up with the selection, Rotten Tomatoes identified holiday movies that are designated as “Fresh” or “Certified Fresh” on its site – meaning that critics positively reviewed them. From there, Parents trimmed down the list to those that offered family-friendly themes and a reasonable running time (key for little kids). All of the final selections are rated G, PG, or are classics that aren’t rated by the Motion Picture Association of America.

“Many families snuggle up to watch a holiday movie together at this time of year,” says Dana Points, Editor-In-Chief of Parents. “Our list makes it easier to choose from the endless options out there and guarantees a movie the whole family – including the adults – will enjoy.”

8. Prancer (1989)

“As a parent, watching a favorite holiday movie with your kids can be an annual tradition that's just as meaningful as decorating the tree,” says Matt Atchity, Editor-in-Chief of Rotten Tomatoes. “From timeless classics such as ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ to modern favorites like ‘Elf,’ this list has films that everyone in your family will love and create lasting memories.”

So what do you think about their list?

I was thrilled to see the wide range of movies, but sorta sad that the The Polar Express and Home Alone weren't on it!
