Are you ready to be a brave girl?

Synopsis:

Join Hope, Glory, Faith, Honor, and Gracie as they discover that the closer they are to God, the more He makes ordinary girls like them strong and courageous! Learn with them how to be brave at school, at home, in sports, with friends—pretty much everywhere! Even when struggles are big . . . He is bigger.

This devotional includes a year’s worth of readings with amazing stories from Scripture, lots of fun quizzes and illustrations, and powerful truths such as:

- I always have the power to love others because God loved me first.
- I can talk to God about anything, whenever I need to!
- God loves me for who I am, even when I’m different from everyone else.
- God can use someone small like me to do big things with Him.

Come along with these encouraging friends for the adventure of a lifetime—growing closer to God!

Review:

As you can see, this is an easy devotional, aimed at girls really ages 8-12, even though it is listed 6-10. I think some of the scenarios are really more for older girls, so I would say starting your daughter with this devotional around that age would be better. It's perfect for giving girls goals and direction for the new year too!

As you can see each day has a theme, bible verse, small story (that is very easy and quick to read), followed by a prayer. While each day is dates, you can start at any day really, or start from the beginning. As the scenarios are thought provoking, there are pages to write their thoughts and answers to devotional questions as well. Plus the daily devotions would make a great starting point for homeschool or regular bible study as a family as well. We'll be using it as a supplemental resource, for when Miss Grace's current study runs out before the end of the school year, as well as picking topics here and there until then.

The book also has a great intro (see above), that challenges girls to think OUTSIDE the box- to know themselves and God, and make their decisions based on that relationship, not on peer pressure. For the older girls (10-12), it is a VERY important chapter, and I urge all parents to discuss it with their girls! This book makes a lovely gift for a birthday, or just to share goals for 2017 with! We highly recommend it!
