Get Your Daily Protein in an Unexpected Way!

Spring is here and you want to not only keep the kids away from excess candy consumption, you need to fuel their days for longer extracurricular activities after school (thanks to longer daylight hours), or for roadtrips.

Now their is an EASY, portable way to get them the HEALTHY protein they need, in a tasty way:

Slammers Snacks are a tasty, superfood greek yogurt snack, designed to fuel kids with organic fruits and vegetables.  Think of them like grown up fruit snacks!

These snacks are a portable, healthy alternative to candy, and can be enjoyed frozen, cold, or at room temperature.  Great for those all-day adventures, but even better because there are no crumbs! Each flavor introduces kids to fruits such as mangos, acai, yumberries, kiwis, and pomegranates, and serves as a great source of essential vitamins.  Plus each flavor combo also comes packed with seven grams of protein—perfect for active kids!

We were sent 1 of their new flavors, and 1 of the original flavors to review:

1. Watermelon Kiwi Burst- Coantaining Watermelon, Kiwi, Strawberry, Beet (shhh), Banana and Apple. Miss Grace and her friends have tried out the Slammers Snacks and they LOVE them, but they were more partial to this flavor, thanks to the watermelon taste (after all they are a local Summer main food group here!). 
2. Chill'n:  Containing Bananas, Blueberrues, Butternut Squash (shhh), Greek Yogurt and Yyumberry! What is a Yumberry? It looks a little bit like a raspberry, and has a sweet, sour flavor, and is considered a super fruit and a source of antioxidant vitamin C!  The younger kids actually liked this one better.

These snacks have been PERFECT for her eat before dance class, to give her plenty of energy to get thru 90 minutes of exercise, with plenty of brain power too. I love how they sneak in some healthy veggies too, yet the kids can't taste them! HA!

She's also been experiencing major stomach issues, so having something that was EASY on her stomach, but didn't reuire major digestion was a huge blessing. because the protein kept her full for a solid 3 hours, they also have been a great breakfast food, when she felt like she couldn't handle eating any 'real foods'. Her gastro doctor was very impressed with them, and said they are a great idea for those who need easier digested foods!

You get 4 pouches per box, so grab some different flavors, and your kdis can alternate their choices! These would also be great Summer Snacks, or for no mess traveling snacks too!
