It feels like a very weird week- from the after affects of the heavy rain, and the new month starting midweek, so it only makes sense to have a tweens day!

In time for Back to School, is this great devotional for girls!

Synopsis:

What will my life be like? Who will I be? Whether girls put these concerns into words or struggle anxiously with these thoughts, during this season of change, girls have questions. Sometimes these questions also come with fears and they need a safe place to process these fears. From Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker and blogger, Lynn Cowell, comes Faithgirlz Brave Beauty: Finding the Fearless You. For girls 8-12, Brave Beauty brings tweens 100 courage-building moments to reflect on Scripture and find confidence in God, rather than in someone, some place, or some thing, as culture will all-too-soon tell them to.

Lynn will also prepare girls to:

Overcome confidence-defeating thoughts and stand on who Jesus says she is.

-Shape her self-worth on Christ and overcome the temptation base it on environmental factors.
- Build a strong foundation to face the fickle and flippant opinions of others.
Find approval of herself even when she lacks the acceptance of others.
Find security by turning to Christ as she steps through the exciting, yet scary world of growing up

Formatted as theme-based mini chapters, these moments can be read as one-a-days, one-a-weeks, or at the reader’s own pace. Simple and empowering, Lynn’s voice is relatable and conversational, making it easy for girls to feel like they’re spending time with a friend. This inspirational read will be set as a gorgeously foil decorated hardcover, with beautifully formatted pages in line with the well-known and loved Faithgirlz look, and with an easy-reference index to look up any topic.

Review;
Aimed at the 9-12 Faithgirlz age group, the books mini-chapters are perfect for holding their interest, while getting valuable information in! The 100 chapters are divided into 3 sections are  I Am Loved, I Am Brave, and I Am Confident, with topics that speak to the heart of the tween experience, for girls. It's not so easy nowadays- in many ways the small town 'disease' of everyone knowing your business is everywhere, thanks to social media, and how kids use it NON-stop! There is no getting away from it, and even kids as young as 8 are feeling the anxiety and stress from it's prevalency. This book helps girls to take that step back and reconnect with the person who matters most- God- and the instruction manual he gave them-the bible!.

Each chapter has an applicable bible verse, reading, an area for girls to write out their thoughts, and THINK about what is being addressed and a Courageous Call prayer. Additionally the Be Brave section asks them to  step outside their comfort zone. It's a lovely book and Miss Grace admitted it would be a great gift to receive, maybe with a prayer journal and a nice set of pens! So keep that in mind if you win!
