The Marley Coffee Cookbook sings the praises of coffee-infused cuisine, whether it is infused with a mocha theme or it rocks an espresso flavor.

Rohan Marley kicks off each chapter of The Marley Coffee Cookbook, offering anecdotes about growing up as the son of legendary musician Bob Marley, who to this day is revered by music lovers young and old. Many chapter names reference Bob Marley's music, and a chapter of vegetarian recipes starts like this: "One Love is one of my father's biggest songs, and I wanted the coffee that I named One Love not just to be a standout single origin coffee, but to really resonate with people."

Chef Maxcel Hardy's flawless recipes and expert guidance on the best way to infuse a dish with coffee flavor make this book a very special addition to any cookbook collection. From the vantage point of a chef, Hardy speaks to the importance of choosing a particular coffee to harmonize with certain foods, and he shows how easy it is to use coffee in a way that it brings out the best in everything from savory dishes to sweet treats.

There's a strong coffee connection for each dish, whether it is infused with a mocha theme or it rocks an espresso flavor. These are dishes you're unlikely to find in many other places: sweet potato waffles with a pecan coffee syrup, grilled salmon with a coffee, maple, and ginger glaze, fried plantains with coffee sugar, coffee spice blend-marinated lamb ribs with guava BBQ sauce are just some examples of Hardy's imaginative recipes. There's a strong coffee connection for each dish, whether it is infused with a mocha theme or it rocks an espresso flavor. Review:

WOW. I LOVE coffee, but who knew you could make SO much WITH coffee? And an all-purpose spice, that includes coffee? HELLO! That is so South Louisiana, it ought to say N'Awlins on it! if you pick up the book for nothing else, THAT recipe is a treasure to hold onto and give out at Christmas in pretty bottles! the book is really a revelation about the Marley family and what the family foundation has accomplished, while giving BACK to the community at large. They really are a model of what can be accomplished with thought and preparation!  But the cookbook- WOW. It really encompasses more than just Jamaican cooking, pulling in other recipes, but using that incredible spice combination, and more, to really take a basic like tacos, to a whole new level! The book would be a great Christmas present, along with some packs of Marley Coffee, and other ingredients from the book, in a gift basket! it's definitely one of my new favorite books!

It was pretty hard to decide what recipe to share, but I didn't want to share the spice one, or any that use it, as that is really the reason to BUY the book! LOL. So instead I found one that is perfect for making for Back to School, to congratulate yourself for surviving Summer, to to giving to the new teacher(s), as a 'prepare yourself' treat! LOL
