I know, I know...

But take a DEEP breath and plan to escape the holiday craziness and take the kids to THE holiday movie, that reminds us WHY we celebrate the season, and what is important in life:

In Sony Pictures Animation's The Starfrom the producer of Heaven is for Real and Miracles from Heavena small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a  loveable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become unlikely heroes in the greatest story ever told - the first Christmas.

Check out the Trailer:

If the singing voice on the clip sounds familiar, it's because the title song, "The Star" is sung by Mariah Carey! besides that sound, Fifth Harmony provides "Can You See", a song that your kids will be singing ALL season long! in fact they might just be singing ALL the songs from the movie! The movie features 9 traditional Christmas songs sung by stars like Kelsea Ballerini, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Petatonix, Casting Crowns and even Kake Owens!
and another new song, "Life is Good", sung by A Great Big World!

The movie looks adorable! There are quite a few famous voices- check out how many on the Meet the Characters page (use yellow arrows on bottom to scroll through) to see how many!)! It is so gratifying to FINALLY see a Christmas movie that tells the story of Jesus' birth, in a way that kids will love and want to watch, over and over. The trailers are hilarious, and all the stars seemed to have had a really great time making the movie!

Miss Grace can't wait to see the movie, and neither can I- it's the perfect reminder to what is important amid all the gift guides and toy commercials!
