If YOU need something to help YOU get through the stress of the holidays, I have the perfect little devotional for YOU:
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
—Galatians 5:22–23
Synopsis:
A Creative Journey to Peace
In our loud and busy lives, it’s easy to miss the life-giving breeze of peace. That’s what this interactive journal is for. It’s about slowing down and taking time to pursue and embrace peace. It’s about welcoming the call to be a peacemaker. It’s about finding a peace rooted in faith rather than circumstances and living out that miracle every day. This is an invitation to create, write, doodle, and draw your way into the deep, lasting peace of God.
Review:
This is the perfect book to give to yourself, to a hostess, or to your best friend, or even a co-worker. The book is not just a devotional, but a creative journal. The call is to take time for oneself, to stop, be creative and allow peace to come take away all the hustle and bustle from our lives. The book is very small, at 5x7, but that is a great size for putting in your purse or laptop bag, and taking it with you and pulling it out when you have that 15-20 inute break, to reflect and be still. As someone who has always felt music inspires us, I was thrilled to see additional jounralling pages for songs that touch you. This book could become a wonderful memento of the holiday season too, by adding in favorite carols and hymns, that are inspiring you, and allowing you to dream of a different Christmas (snow, just a little would be nice this year, LOL). It's a lovely book, and I urge you to put this one on the top of yuor gift giving list!
