Synopsis:

Review
This is book 4 of the Merry/Neal series, and I think it just might be my favorite in the series, thanks to all the twists and turns! With this book, we get to see more of Merry's character, and how Neal has to juggle home and family. Add a new coworker into the mix, and you have an unknown quantity that has both slightly on edge, add in Merry's closeness to the case, and you have the setting for a rapid page turner! And while the book alludes to what happened in the previous books, it CAN be read by itself. Although, if you have read the previous books, then you know how the characters have evolved, and why they make the decisions they do. if you read the first review of the day, you'll see that this book is almost an opposite side of the same genre. More of the modern take on it really, but a good book for curling up with by the fire (I know I did, thanks to our recent trek to the mountains and CHILLY weather!), and one I recommend for Fall reading!
About the Author
Janice was born and grew up in West Lothian, Scotland. After completing an English degree at St Andrew's University, she moved to London where she lived for ten years doing an assortment of jobs. Her passions are reading, writing and walking in Scotland and the Lake District. She lives in Lincolnshire with her husband and two sons.
