Synopsis:
Theodosia Browning investigates a Charleston steeped in tradition and treachery in the latest Tea Shop Mystery from New York Times bestselling author Laura Childs.
While viewing the harbor's Gaslights and Galleons Parade from the widow's walk of Timothy Neville's Charleston mansion, local banker Carson Lanier seemingly tumbles over a narrow railing, then plunges three stories to his death. But a tragic accident becomes something much more sinister when it's discovered that the victim was first shot with a bolt from a crossbow.
At the request of the mansion owner, Theodosia investigates the tragedy and is soon neck deep in suspects. An almost ex-wife, a coworker, a real estate partner--all had motives for killing the luckless banker, but one resorted to murder to settle accounts.

Review:
Do NOT read this book on an empty stomach, or without your favorite tea handy! Otherwise you will have to put it down and go cook! LOL Not only is the book full of interesting recipes and tea combinations, it also includes some wonderful ideas for planning your own special teas, like White Tea, Fairy tea and French tea! But before you get to all of that, there is a decent little mystery to solve! Charleston serves as a wonderful setting, and all the characters are so unique, that you'll feel like you know them. You may find yourself staying up late into the night, to finish this page turner, like I did!
This is actually book 19 (!!) in this adorable series, and I have NO idea HOW I missed it! Even though I had guessed who the suspect was by about mid-book, the story was so enchanting, I had to finish it! I will definitely be reading the rest of the series and catching up on all the goings on at the Tea Shop and in the characters' pasts! Check out this series and you will be too!
Recipe:
Here's a 2-for!
Not only is the first recipe a great tea bread, but when sliced and topped with the amazing cream (second recipe) and sliced strawberries, it becomes a wonderful VALENTINE'S DAY treat too!
