Spring is here and that means one thing: Festival Season!

Well, it's Spring in Lousiana, cause these are FULLY blooming!

I don't care what the groundhog says, when the azaleas are in FULL bloom, its SPRING!

We are in full blown March Madness with the kid's Irish parade, Irish dance performances and many many festivals. And in the fact that flu season is still hanging around, thanks to some chaotic weather (!!!), and you've got a recipe for bringing home lots of sickness.

But not us, thanks to Mangiacotti’s and their new Hand Sanitizer Spray collection, we not only have germ protection, we have hand protection!

According to the CDC, cleaning hands is the #1 defense against the threatening flu...but be warned...not all hand sanitizing products are created equal, AND, the persistent H1Ni virus is projected to linger until May! EEK!  How you clean your hands, and what you clean them with,  plays a vital role in the prevention and spread of the flu as well. While washing with soap and water is always the suggested first choice, Hand Sanitizers are the best defense when you can't get to soap and water, and they’re actually more effective at eliminating germs, because they kill bacteria rather than just removing it, as you hopefully know.

BUT did you know that alcohol-based hand sanitizers only kill the germs you have touched, and once the alcohol dries, the germs begin to recontaminate???  I know, "ewwwww!", right?. Alcohol-free hand sanitizers that have benzalkonium chloride as their active ingredient, such as the ones from Mangiacotti, continue to protect against microbial activity for 4 hours. And most impressive, studies have shown benzalkonium chloride may be associated with antibiotic resistance in the MRSA virus while no resistance to alcohol has ever been noted.

So with ALL those germs flying around, it's comforting to know that you can slide the  super slim and convenient Mangiacotti’s Hand Sanitizer Spray, with their amazing scents, into the smallest of purses and bags (as you can see Ocean doing above), so they can go WITH you, no matter where you are headed this Spring season, and can be easily reapplied before that magic 4 hour window is up!

Mangiacotti’s proprietary formula meets all FDA recommended testing protocols and features the active ingredient: Benzalkonium Chloride, used in hospitals for over 40 years to prepare the skin and surfaces for surgery. Mangiacotti Sanitizer Sprayworks in 15 seconds to kill germs and bacteria leaving a protective anti-microbial shield of protection, while delivering skin softening moisturization.

Mangiacotti’s Hand Sanitizer Spray is available in six unique all-natural fragrance profiles: Jasmine Plum, Clementine, Lemon Verbena, Ocean, Lavender and Pomegranate. They all feature specially blended therapeutic essential oils, to provide a delicate light fragrance. But, unlike alcohol based products, Mangiacotti’s Hand Sanitizer does not sting on contact, chap or dry hands, or strip away natural oils, that help skin retain moisture, but delivers super moisturization as it cleans and sanitizes even the most sensitive skin. The 0.5 fluid Oz. spray bottle is compact, as you can see above (it fits perfectly in my uber small shoulder case! it's also great for putting on your carry bag on planes/trains, so you don't have to worry about bottles spilling out!

Miss Grace grabbed the Lemon Verbena, as you can see above, to put in her crown bucket. She wanted something that smelled good, but wasn't too 'perfumey', for when she's out and about wearing her crown/sash at festivals. She frequently takes pictures or is shaking hands, so being able to stay germ free is a must! It was hard for me to pick my favorite- it was a tie between Ocean and Lavender! So Ocean became out second 'festival' blend and Lavender became the one I always carry in my day-to-day purse. Pomegranate got snatched up by my bestie, who adores the scent. She keeps it in her desk drawer. We all love how these sprays dry SO quickly. It is very easy to spray and by the time you cap the bottle, your hands are dry and able to move on to the next activity of the day!

And speaking of going, since it's active ingredient is used on surfaces in operating rooms, Mangiacott's Hand Sanitizer Spray can also be used on surfaces such as tray tables on airplanes and public toilet seats. So much easier than trying to place toliet paper on a port-a-let seat, right? And more discreet!

The hand sanitizer sprays are available nationwide at specialty, gift and department stores or on the Mangiacotti website (and they have some sumptious smelling soaps and candles too!), and would make great additions to pre-teen and teen Easter baskets! So grab them some, and grab a couple for yourself too!
