Only 5 more days, until this amazing movie premiers at theatres nationwide!

I CAN ONLY IMAGINE is based on the Christian song that has brought ultimate hope to so many … often in the midst of life’s most challenging moments? The song even made history in 2014 as the first song to go platinum and double-platinum in the digital domain. yet the song took MercyMe lead singer Bart Millard mere minutes to write. But in reality, the lyrics took a lifetime to craft, and the movie tells us that tale. We just ended a giveaway of 2 tickets to see the movie, if you recall!

We were lucky this past week to get a chance to watch this amazing movie!

J. Michael Finley does an amazing job of showing both the hope, and faith, that kept Bart from falling into despar, after his mother left him with his abusive father, and then the pain of living with him. Bart did everything he could to win his father's appreciation, until the day when that was literally shattered and he had to find his own way to what made HIM happy. That struggle left him with anger and ultimately a desire to move away and find his dream of singing. Dennis Quaid does an amazing job of being the father the viewer hates, and ultimately showing how even those people can be SAVED by God's grace. The struggle Bart goes through accepting a changed man in his father is very realistic and honest, and most viewers will be moved by both actor's acting.

This is an amazing movie to see together as a family. it helps younger kids to understand that people who may be acting out because of drama at home, and help them to understand everyone tries to live up to expectations. For teens, it's a good way to see how you CAN follow your dreams, but ultimately it's your faith that will see you through the hard times. It is a moving movie, that lives up to the song, and we hope ALL of you take the time to see the movie, and allow it to change your family!
