Continuing our mystery week, I have sequel that I think might actually be BETTER than the original (Monsterland)!

monsterland reanimated and goodies

Synopsis:

After Monsterland has imploded, the entire world is thrown into chaos. World leadership is gone, economies have collapsed, and communications are non-existent. Wyatt must go beyond the boundaries of his small town to reestablish contact with the outside world, and alert the government about a traitor-in-chief. During his journey he discovers a new threat released from the bowels of the defunct theme park. When an army of relentless mummies, a life-sucking ooze called The Glob, and a hybrid reanimated Behemoth rise from the depths of Monsterland, who will survive?

Review:

Sometimes the first book in a series is ok, but the sequel is better- the author has hit their groove, characters are better defined, story flow is better, etc. Such is the case with this book! The story picks up where the previous book left off, with the destruction of Monsterland and the main characters now banded together for a new problem. The book goes from it's YA roots into more adult feel, and I think that really helps, for a stronger feel and read. Everything comes to a nice circle, and the reader feels like there is an end in sight, or is there? With Michael's vivid imagination, maybe not!
