Synopsis:

Carsten Stroud's THE SHIMMER is a high octane thriller laced with humor and a smattering of supernatural genre-bending. Set in Florida now and during the fifties, it focuses on two families, one headed by a cop, one by a forensic anthropologist, whose lives are irrevocably changed when they cross paths with a beautiful, seductive stranger. That stranger turns out to be a cunning, time traveling female serial killer who craves to bathe in the shimmering afterglow that sometimes emanates when the soul leaves the body. It also provides her a way to slip into the past so she can right a wrong.

Review:

I read this book in ONE sitting! I could NOT put it down! It's the perfect mix of past and future, police procedural and romance! If you could go back in time, would you change the bad things that make you who you are? Or is fate, fate, and no matter what you try, the bad would still happen? It's an interesting idea and one that really moves the murder mystery along. Add in Florida's past, and a crime family twist and you have an amazing story, that makes you want to run out and tell everyone about it! Do NOT miss this one this Summer!
