Mystery Monday: Scott & Bailey- Your New Myserty Binge!

So I know you- you've been with the kids all Summer, and you need some adult entertainment- you want to binge a TV show, but they're all the same anymore....

So head on over to Amazon Prime and find my latest binge worthy show:

Detective Constable Rachel Bailey is 30, down-to-earth, noisy, argumentative and single. And well, her personal life is in one word MESSY, But her flashes of brilliance made her boss pull her for Section 8 Team, when she made her detective test.

Her partner, Detective Constable Janet Scott, is 40, a diplomat and a thinker, as well as being a wife and mother of teen 2 girls. her personal life may be less messy, but it's the honest life of a working mother, having to balance life and work.

They both work for Manchester Metropolitan Police's prestigious Murder Investigation Team and, despite the obvious differences between them, they make a formidable team.

This isn't what you're thinking- Cagney and Lacey. From the beginning, the show was basically co-written by an ACTUAL female police detectice. That means it is VERY gritty, real and honest. It also can be graphic, as it IS BBC TV and they can show more. But the great thing is the cases- they follow over from one episode to another in each season, giving you a FULL drama, as it would play out in more realistic terms (ie not solved in 45 minutes!).  Add in supporting characters that are easy to grab onto and like, and you have a mystery series that you can snk your teeth into!

Check out the trailer:

The show is very strong and intelligent. Older teens might actually enjoy seeing women in supervisory positions who not only know their stuff, but who are great all around people, that you would want to know.

You can get 4 FULL seasons and the partial 5th season (the show ended after only 3 episodes that year)

Check out Season 1 and you'll get hooked too!
