Pereg’s seasoned bread crumb collection just got even bigger with the introduction of three delicious new styles:

Thai Sweet Chili Panko CrumbsWhole Wheat Panko, and Golden Crisp Bread Crumbs

They join a crunchy family that includes Classic, American, Viennese, Mexican, and Italian Fine Bread Crumbs and their Japanese cousins Spicy Panko, Coarse Panko, and Fine Panko.

We were sent a package of the Whole Wheat Panko and their Thai Sweet Chili  seasoning mix.

These new varieties are made from fresh-baked loaves, not recycled from stale old bread. With the exception of the Whole-Wheat Panko, all are then combined with the top-quality spices that are the bread and butter, so to speak, of Pereg’s extensive line of all-natural seasonings!

As you can see, this is some great quality whole wheat! You can taste the difference too, it tastes just like you toasted some homemade bread and ground it up!

The new flavors aren’t the only thing that’s new about Pereg’s line of seasoned bread crumbs. They have are now stay-fresh thanks to their super strong resealable zip top package! And they have less waste, as the package may be smaller, but they contain the SAME amount of bread crumbs, as the previous bags!

I decided to use the Whole Wheat Panko on some bonesless pork chops. But admitedly, I had to spice them up. We're so used to very flavorable panko, that I used a touch of Cajun and Italian spices.

As you can see, they came out lovely golden and very crunchy! AND more importantly they were quite tasty! we were sold, and more importantly they were quite easy on Miss Gracce's tummy! I also found that we seemed to use LESS panko, as the Pereg panko stuck to the chops MUCH better than our other normal brand!

That's because all Pereg bread crumbs and panko products are all-natural, vegan, certified non-GMO, and OU and CRC kosher-pareve, so you can enjoy them with any meal, and with most diets!

The Pereg Sweet Thai Chili Seasoning is quite strong, but if you like your strong heat with sweet, it might be JUST the thing for you. Although we like spicy, I'd say we're on a 6 level, and this in on a 9! So it was a bit too strong for us, but some of the guys at work tried in on ribs and steak, and declared it YUM!  Here's another way to try it:

Sweet Chili Panko Salmon

Ingredients:
4 skinless salmon filets, about 6 ounces each
1¼ cup Pereg Sweet Thai Chili Panko (if you can't find it, try their regular pank with the seasoning, like we had)
1 Tbsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. minced parsley
½ cup melted butter
Melted butter or olive oil as needed

Directions:
1. Preheat overn to 375 degrees.
2. Pat salmon filets dry with a paper towel and arrange in a baking pan sprayed with non-stick spray.
3. Brush each filet with butter or olive oil.
4. Combine panko, pepper, and parsley in a small bowl.
5. Spoon mixture on top of filets and bake uncovered at 375 degrees about 12-15 minutes, until fish flakes easily.
