Kids getting a little bored?

Check out this simple craft idea that can keep kids occupied for awhile!
Your basic squirt guns.
(Yes, we have no problem with squirt guns- OUR kids know the difference.
Moving on....)
We used ONE per COLOR and it was easy to see the paint color, so nobody got confused. 6 kids had to share guns and they did very well.

We put half paint and then added some water, closed and shook the guns.If it seemed loose, then no additional water needed. Our paints are seriously old- it's like they keep reproducing in the bottle, we can't finish them, no matter how many group projects the kids do! Remember to leave some air room in the guns, so you get better sprays.

And again, but from a diagonal...
Full spray. Dragonfly LOVED it- kept landing on it as kids trying to paint!
Dots and side spray, then picked up and swirled...

And the spotted technique...
The kids had almost as much fun squirting each other, as they did the canvases!
But because it was tempura, it just washed right off with the hose, and then they could get back in for repainting.
Seriously 1st- high schoolers stayed at this for an HOUR!
A little paint goes a LONG way with this technique!
Now as it was 97 degrees, it should have not taken long for the canvases to dry, but remember, you have paint upon paint. So we recommend letting dry OVERNIGHT, before hanging or doing anything else to them.
Miss Grace wants to add a vinyl mermaid cutout on top of hers. You could put down contact paper before hand and get that same effect, after painting, when you peel it up....
Course when all the guns are empty, your yard might look like a seige might have occurred!
But that's part of the Summer fun!
