Review:

This book is a great starter Southern cookbook! It has updated many of the popular Southern classics, yet kept the same flavors (we're not talking Sage Mint Corn Truffle Casserole here!). In some ways the recipes have simplified, thanks to modern ingredients, and ways of cooking. i stopped Miss Grace from putting 25 post its on the first 36 pages, for recipes she wanted to cook- I figured it was cheaper to just let her cook the entire book! The book offers not on great tips and cooking methods, but a lot of down home Southerness, making it great for those looking to get adventerous, and 'cook Southern'! It just might end up being a new 'classic' in your house too!

Recipe:

This is a classic Southern go-to recipe- perfect for busy moms to make the day before and throw in the oven after a long afternoon of extracurriculars, for a yummy sit-down dinner, the entire family will love! Better yet, make up 3 dishes, and freeze 2 for busy weekends too!
