This book is a welcome addition to the Bridge ladies series of cookbooks, with tasty, easy to make food! You get 175 great recipes, that don't require weird ingredients you can't get your kids to eat! Rather you get easy versions of familiar comfort foods, the entire family loves, that are so quick to make, that you'll have the extra time to finish homework and all those special projects! 

Recipes include breakfast and brnch foods, salads and soups, sandwiches, side dishes and even desserts. There are even vegetarian dishes! I love how there are interenational flavors, as the book really represents the varied meal plan we tend to have at home! You might just find yourself wanting breakfast for dinner though, as some of the recipes for breakfast are so so yummy (like the one I'm sharing below!0. We also discovered that the recipes are perfect for busy weekends. this may be your go-to cookbook for family meals! The cookbook could also serve as a great 'learn to cook' book for coeds and newlyweds! So check it out today!


Savory Baked French Toast

Recipe:
We all love breakfast for dinner, and this recipe is perfect for using up leftover meats from the week's lunches, and for serving breakfast as dinner, or for a Saturday brunch!
Savory Baked French Toast
French toast is traditionally sweet, but this version has a tasty savory twist. This recipe is perfect for using up day-old Italian or French bread. Serve with a side salad. Serves 6 to 8.
Ingredients:
6 tbsp basil pesto 
8 large oval slices bread

(about 6 inches wide)
8 slices deli ham 
3 plum (Roma) tomatoes, sliced 
8 large eggs 
12 cup half-and-half (10%) cream 
112 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 
Directions:
1. Grease an 11- by 7-inch baking dish. 
2. Spread pesto over one side of each bread slice, then layer a slice of ham and tomato slices on top. 
3. Carefully lift each stack into prepared dish, overlapping to fit. 
4. In a medium bowl, combine eggs and cream; pour evenly over bread. 
5. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
6. Preheat oven to 350°F.
7. Bake casserole for 40 minutes or until golden and puffed. 
8. Remove from oven and preheat broiler. 
9. Sprinkle cheese over casserole. 
10. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted and lightly
browned. 
11. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
