Synopsis:

Nicole Berman is an archaeologist on the brink of a world-changing discovery. During her first dig in Jordan, she believes she has found concrete evidence of a biblical patriarch that could change history books forever. But someone doesn’t want the truth revealed. While urgently trying to connect pieces of an ancient puzzle, a dangerous enemy is out to stop her.

Review:

This book goes back and forth in time, from modern day Manhattan, to the ancient city of Ur,  to create an adventure that not only keeps you guessing, it keeps you rapidly turning the pages. In fact, when the end came, you could have heard my "NOOOOO" from across the state! I was so entranced with the book, that I didn't realize it was ending (a special problem with ereaders for sure!). This book, as book 1, is more about setting the story up- about giving the readers characters they quickly get attached to/want to know more about, and giving the reader the setting for why the potential discovery is so harmful, and people want it stopped. I have to admit, I was more intrigued with the modern mystery, and raced through the Ur pages to get to the next chapter, and back to Manhattan! But having said that, I can't wait for book 2, to see what happends next! This is a very quick read- perfect for 2-3 days over the holiday!
