January IS coming up, and you know what THAT means....

So how about some truth before you jump on the propaganda bandwagon???

the truth abut fat cover

Synopsis:

Why do we really get fat? And why is it happening more now than ever before?
We are getting fat and sick in increasing numbers and it’s placing a devastating burden on our healthcare systems. Scientists in every field are desperate to explain this epidemic and stave off a modern health disaster. But what’s to blame? Carbs, fat or sugar? Gut microbes or genes? Laziness or poverty?

In The Truth About Fat, Anthony Warner scrutinizes the explanations of experts in every field, speaks to those who dedicate their lives to helping obese people and to others who live with their own larger bodies every day. As he lays out the best evidence available, he rails against quack theories preying on the desperate and considers whether we are blaming our own bodies for other people's ignorance and cruelty. What remains is the unvarnished truth about one of the great preoccupations of our age.

Review:

Essentially Anthony has done what you needed done- sifted through all the chaos of "this, no this, no that" and come to the inevitable conclusion that fat is not so simple. it's genetics, environment, gut bacteria, fast food, stress, lifestyle and maybe, just too much propaganda! Ultimately, what Anthony gives the reader is the hard truth that quick fixes don't come without consequences, and that if you are fighting 1 aspect of the issue, you're doomed. In the same way it takes a "village to raise a child', it takes commercialism and the government together with YOU, to make changes that can HELP you loose that weight and keep it off. If you don't have time to sift through all the chaos, this book can help you see what you really need to tackle in January!
