Synopsis:

After an unlikely trio of friends uncover long-buried secrets to solve a dark mystery, the residents (and authorities) of small-town Lachlan, Florida are eager for them to investigate a new crime--the vicious murder of one of the town's sweetest residents.

Kind, old Janet Beeson is discovered dead outside her home...with three potential causes of death--a gunshot wound, a knife wound, and traces of poison in her body. It seems that someone really wanted the town sweetheart dead!

But as Sara, Kate, and Jack work to unravel this complicated mystery, they'll discover that perhaps Ms. Beeson wasn't quote the innocent darling she pretended to be.

Review;

This is the 3rd book in the Summerhouse series (did you read A Willful Murder?), and once again Sara, Kate and Jack are back sleuthing out secrets and more among their small town. Kate has now settled into her groove and made Lachlan her home. Things aren't what Jack would like, so their 'will they/won't they' sparks keep flying. One again Sara is a revelation- one tough cookie, with many surprises up her sleeves, but not as many as the departed Janet! As the team is ordered to stay away from the case, all the involved parties come camp on their doorstep, demanding justice, in a plot ruse that the comedy writers from the 40's would well appreciate! This is a charming light chick lit mystery, perfect for reading while waiting for the kids to get out of practice! if you missed the other books, be sure to grab them too!
