Synopsis:

Faith in God can be exciting, daring, and fun. Love Does for Kids shares some of the Goffs' wild adventures—from holding a neighborhood parade to writing presidents from around the world to creating a town in the backyard tree. Children will laugh, dream, and be inspired to make a difference for God.

As a little boy with a big personality and even bigger dreams, Bob Goff had lots of questions, and they didn't go away when he grew up. It wasn’t until he learned just how big and wild and wonderful God is that he began to find answers. Once Bob learned about the deep goodness of God, he began to learn about the great power God gives His kids when they live a life full of love for others.

Kids everywhere will love Bob and Lindsey's stories about how love does. With childlike faith, enthusiasm, and great whimsy, young readers will feel instantly connected to a love that acts as much as it feels. Children will walk away with a sense of wonder at how great God is and will feel empowered to do things that will make a tangible difference in the world.

Review:

This book is aimed at ages 6-12, this is a great book for sharing of the goodness of God and God's grace with older elementary and tween kids. Not just a simple kids bible book, this book of 3 page stories takes the theme and moral lessons from the bible and puts them into everyday situation that kids can easily relate to. Perfect for sharing as a family, it also is a great source for Sunday school classes and character building homeschool lessons. Miss Grace and I both enjoyed the stories, and we had great discussions after them, with a lot of 'what would you have done' type questions. This is a great book for keeping AND giving this Valentine's Day, as a reminder of God's love for us!

About the Illustrator:

From Michael: I love well-made picture books, and pretty much every other form of narrative creativity. I have a broad imagination, the critical thinking skills necessary to put it to good use, and more ideas than I know what to do with. These facts about who I am were cemented at my alma mater, the Rhode Island School of Design. I recently completed my MFA in SVA's Illustration as Visual Essay program. At the moment, I live in Ridgewood, NY, a great place to begin executing elaborate, fantastical, ambitious plans.
