Review:

This is a great book for tweens and teens, as it will be very self-explanatory to them, thanks to the really great illustrations provided by Sally! From how to hold a pen, to the proper slant, to which way to make letters, and to combine letters with ease! I love that there are plenty of practice lines next to the different alphabets, so you have plenty of area to practice your writing WHILE looking at the directions! The red arrows really help your child to understand which way to actually MAKE the letters, so that they turn out looking correct!  With the different alphabets provided, your child is sure to find one they really like! I found that after taking a course in calligraphy, both my printing AND handwriting improved, and I'm sure this book will help your kids too!

There are also a few projects (below) to get your children started on real life use of calligraphy for letters and more! I love how they take a simple writing technique and use some graphics to really punch it up, and show kids how you can use calligraphy to decorate just about anything! this is a book you may want to steal and use, when the kids aren't using it! And if you homeschool, it's great resource for history class too!
