Review:

This is a really fun book with both simple and involved adventures for your entire family. They are wholesome family time adventures that not only encourage trust in one another, but learning, and a sense of anticipation and delight! As you can see below, each of the adventures starts with a cute picture, and has picture codes to the right, letting you know what will be involved, both in time, cost, area and what they offer your family (above pictures). I really like this feature, as it lets you know before reading, if an adventure has cost, like travel. So if you're looking for 'stay-cation' type ideas, you might want to skip that adventure!

Then you get a basic summary of  what you need to get ready for the adventure, followed by what to do during the adventure, to enrich the time together! this is followed by a Reminder section that is like taking to adventure to the next level. this is then followed by a family devotion, and how you can link your adventure into some bible reading and study.  This is then followed by the love language offered in the adventure. Helpful for those wanting to seek adventures based on their kids' love languages.

I would say this book is more suited to younger kids, say elementary age, but some middle schoolers will still love the family time. For older kids, it's a way to help out with younger siblings, and maybe even let the teens PLAN the adventures included (helpful if they need some extra credit work if you're homeschooling!). many of the adventures can be tied into studies that they may already be working on, so that is also a plus for older kids. It would be a fun family gift idea, with a basket of small items needed for some of the adventures, as a thank you or hostess gift item as well!
