I don't know about you, but it hit me when October 1st rolled around,
that we are LESS THAN 3 MONTHS from CHRISTMAS!

You know- all the cooking, presents, people at your house.....
and I have been so bogged down with work and daily stuff, that it was slipping by me!
I had started working on our front room, but got to a stopping point and when I decorated for Fall it hit me, I needed to spruce up the furniture too!

I have an older chair that is uber comfortable, but it's that neon 70s plaid fabric that just won't die, so we were definitely in need of a slipcover before it came back in the front room. So I picked out their Ticking Stripe Chair Cover in Blue (it also comes in Red and Khaki),as it best matched our decor. It is made of durable cotton twill, printed with classic ticking stripe, in a slip over style, with ties to tighten, on the arms and back.
Shipping was very quick and I was happy to see that the cover came in it's own zip pack, to keep it from any contaminants during shipping! But the best surprise was the instructions:
Yes, you see that right- ACTUAL pictures! No more guessing about if you are putting it on correctly! WOO HOO!
AND, on the underside of the cover, there are direction tabs too, so you can follow along with the pictures, and know you grabbed the correct side! This is SO great, not all slipcovers have these!
Now the day the slip cover came in, there was an unforseenable accident involving the cat, the 12 yr old and a picture of fruit punch she was walking outside to the porch with. The good news was it didn't land on the cover, BUT it did land ALL over the chair. Which required much cleaning and leaving it very damp. So for this review, I had to show the cover on a different chair (grrrrr).
As you can see, it is very easy to put on the cover. Just align the rear and front labels, then aline the stitching lines and push into your seams on the seat and arms. Then you just tighten the ties, to snug it all together, front and back.
As you can see it took an older looking chair and spruced it up quite nicely! I love how tit has enough length to reach the floor. I've had some chair covers that leave a couple of inches showing, which makes the cover look odd! Because it is twill, it is very comfortable from the get go, so there is no breaking in period! And it really matches the new decor. In fact, I'm going to order another one, so I have both chairs matching, as I love the blue ticking SO much (once the other one gets dried out that is! LOL)!
The best part is how easy it is to put on, and remove it for cleaning, if it needs it. Which means the slipcovers from Classic Clipcovers are YOUR holiday tip of the week! Company descending on you?
