Review:

This is a great starter cookbook, especially for pre-teens, who want something more than 'kids cookbooks', but may not be quite ready for expanisve adult cookbooks. Each recipe helps to not only teach healthy eating, but also different cooking techniques. It will require them to branch out and try recipes and ingredients they may not be used to, Each of the recipes includes notations for it, like gluten free, ingredient or serving tips, and the time to prepare the dish and total time involvement. This is helpful for kids who may not think about these things, but it helps them to better time organize!  I found most of the ingreients at my local store, so they aren't too far afield. It would be a great Christmas gift with a basket of ingredients and cooking accessories!
