Synopsis:

This dynamic plan will help the whole family kick-start their health and wellness and set the stage for long-term, lasting improvements in nutrition, fitness, sleep, stress, and screen use habits. Dr. Natalie Digate Muth walks families through this thirty-day transformation that establishes a baseline and goals, creates routines and healthy habits, and provides strategies for overcoming frustration and recognizing obstacles. At the end of thirty days, parents and children will have laid the ground work to continue a lifetime of healthy habits. The plan also includes family-friendly recipes, health and fitness experiments for the kids, and additional wellness tools.

Review:

Got kids who aren't big on the outdoors? Hard to get them moving? This book aims to help you by providing some inspiration by making kids part of an experiment, to encourge them into participating in new things. With amazing facts and tips, kids will get hooked (hopefully) and love the additional kitchen hacks included for healthy snacks, and a new routine of having fun doing new adventures outside, as a FAMILY.

If you homeschool, this book can also double as a health course, as everything is covered- from healthy bodies, to healthy eating, to how to read labels, to better cooking habits, and to knowing what is a healthy diet and exercise plan you. Teens especially will like the easy approach and non-textbook attitude, and it would be a great way to work WITH them for family time!
