Review:
Each tale starts with a simple color illustration and is relatively short in the telling, perfect for the grade school level, this book is aimed at. many of the legends and myths may be unfamiliar to kids here in America, which is what makes this such a fun STARTER book! Once kids get intriqued with the simple tale (like on selkies and the Giant's Highway) and then want to go off and learn MORE about them! The book also has 'lesson questions' after each story. I'm 50/50 on them however. Myth is about explaining the unexplainable, and you can look at these ancient takes in the same experience way that we would. So parents may want to read them and offer some ones of their own instead. Others are good starter questions for discussing what it means to have character and virtue. It's a good way to get your kids interested in Celtic myth, and we highly recommend it!
About the Author:
