Review:
If you are looking for a quick, easy to read, and easy to USE book on getting the kids off of technology 24/7, THIS is the book for you! In simple, easy to relate to writing, Wayne gives parents ideas like how to get kids off their devices bit by but, with more family activities, then slowly reducing the hours they are using their devices, and to finally making a technology contract, WITH your kids, to set firm rules for it's use, AND misuse. The last part is the key- getting kids to help set their own punishment, especially for tweens and teens, helps them to feel ownership, and help to learn self-regulation! I really loved how he also offered sample conversation starters and responses to popular come backs from kids. We've all been there, but Wayne helps us, and our kids, ease into a better, media free, life!
