This book is a companion to Bryan's earlier book, Quick Answers to Tough Questions, and it comes out at a time when we Christian parents need it the most!
The foundation, which we HOPE we have taught our children, and that is in their hearts, is that it doesn't matter what a man professes his religion to be, as long as it is God's religion, not HIS (man's). We know man is sinful and easily led astray, and we've seen how man-made deviations from the Christian faith have led to sin upon sin, greed upon greed, and defilation of children and adults. So why would you put your faith in a MAN made religion? Exactly. It is from this starting point of acknowledging how FAR our culture has gone from that simple premise, to understand what has HAPPENED, to know how to answer and lead your children back to God's word!
Miss Grace and I literally had a discussion a few weeks ago- what is and isn't tolerance. Once I explained the TRUE definition of tolerance, she began to realize how little is actually being done. Rather, current culture is using tolerance as a keyword, to instill their own belief system UPON everyone else WITHOUT question. That brought us right back to a man-made religion, a wolf in sheep's clothing, where man is throwing away God's rule over him, and making his own rules. From there it was easy to use this book to take a look again at how GOD has defined what we need to know, and how to act. All in the Bible. God's rule, not man's. Period.
It was interesting to use the arguments from this book, about the basis that 'new Science' proclaims the truth, and how they actually oppose the central Christian idea of how all man was made in God's image- the Bible has no mention of different skin tones when that statement about man was made. ALL humans are in God's image. Period. So how is it that Darwin (Man) and his 'new science' defined the 'better race' as white and others as 'savages', and 'Modern Science' became the definer of a world view? Seems pretty contrary! But when you take it back that far, it is easy to show your child how MAN made decisions, contrary to God, but based on MAN'S belief, they were right, and started to try to change our culture for the worse. I actually feel blessed, if one can call it that, that Miss Grace had started her WWII studies about they time all the unrest started. It helped her to understand the analogies and similarities, and QUESTION if history was repeating itself. After finishing Animal Farm, she saw how MAN has taken over from the ideals set by God, and perverted them to their agenda and goals. And it was easy for her to see how biblical teachings were being thrown out to be replaced by Man's polluted ones
And that is what is at the core of our current society- tolerance bred on FALSE ideas and handed to our children not only in school, but in everything they take in from media and socialization with friends. Even us who homeschool our kids, know these tentacles, and how they can reach our kids. Our kids have to fight those who try to use PARTS of the bible against them. They need to have solid answers, and this book helps you to give them what they need to battle the evil preached to them. They may not want to hear them, but they NEED to hear them. They need to understand how Man's Sins have taken over and tried to force biblical terms (like marriage), into modern culture, but in twisted ways.
But if you have this book, you HAVE the answers. You have the arguments for the debates with your kids literally at your fingertips. Every few weeks there are new stories about some new geology or archeology discovery that CONFIRMS what was written in the Bible. So why is 'Modern Science' is shewing the truth, why is modern culture not saying 'wait a minute', God is right? Why are they in fact, using the bible as a BASIS for arguments about tolerance and truth? Why is it central to every 'politically correct' argument? Because Man has to refute God, to force man's way. Which also in linear thinking, thus proves God's existence and original rule. And Bryan gives you all the biblical quotes, and messages, you need to show this to be true!
This really is a FAMILY book right now- parents need it to speak to ALL their kids, no matter their ages. There is a reason modern man seeks to undo God's command in kids- they think they are the weakest and most easily led. But we as Christians need to say NO, our children WILL understand God's word and show the sinners of man, what is wrong, and more importantly what is RIGHT. It is a quick read, but a book you will want handy, to answer those questions thrown at you by kids, and adults, alike. EVERY family should pick one up, and USE it.
