Synopsis:
52 Assignments: Landscape Photography is a mission brief, a portfolio of photographic workshops, a personalized journal, and an inspirational guide to putting the creativity back into your craft. Small enough to fit in your camera bag, it is filled with a year’s worth of weekly commissions and concepts for composing and creating eye-catching landscape photography in all its forms. From adding movement to the land to freezing the motion of seascapes; from playing with snow to capturing a starburst; from bird’s-eye views to worm’s-eye views, this is the quickest and most enjoyable way to shake off old habits and discover new approaches that will throw a whole new light on your landscape photography.
Review:
As you can see, each assignment is about learning to focus on one part of your photography. Included are tips and suggestions for how to achieve quality pictures. As you can see from the sample page, this includes excellent photos to show exactly what they mean. This is SO important. What you mean by dusky might not be MY thought of dusky. But by showing a photo, it's very clear. I would suggest using this for anyone interested in photography, one lesson per week. That gives you plenty of time to work on the technique and evaluate your photos, then try again for better ones! By the way, there are some simply STUNNING lancape photos in the book, to really encourage you to see something different- the shot that makes people stop and get lost imagining themselves IN your photo! I'm looking forward to trying all the books in the series!
