Even if you don't have one of those cute donut makers, or donut pans, you can use this book! You'll just have to make them the old fashioned way- with a large piping bag and something for them to rise around in the oven! But no matter how you make them, there is NO frting with this book and that means not only are they healthier to eat, they are less hazard, so even kids can make these fun donuts!
I ove that all types are included- both cake style and yeast ones, as well as what we would call 'ethnic' ones- aka those that you may not THINK of as donuts, but they meet the definition! Like the beignets above- any native from Louisiana will tell you those are donuts- just the type without the fancy holes. And really, they're covered in powdered sugar, the key ingredient to icing, soooooo.LOL But there are some fun mix ups like the Irish Coffee donut and the Firecracker donut holes, that adults will want to make for parties, making this a whole family cookbook. Beat the Summer 'I'm Boreds' with this fun cookbook!
