Review:

Overall this is a decent air fryer cookbook. (with a couple of reservations),  BUT, I would not call it a 'diet book'. While she does make some good suggestions in the front pages of the book, so many of the recipes call for some type of coating- that is not diet friendly! Obviously you can tweak her recipes, but that isn't what you are buying the book FOR. Additionally, do NOT buy the Kindle version. For the very simple reason that cooking TEMPS are NOT included in each recipe! You literally have to go back to the beginning chapter on How to Use an Air Fryer, for the sheet with cooking times for fruits, meats and veggies, to determine WHAT temperature to use! If you have the Kindle copy, that means bookmarking and having to do a lot more work to start the recipe. If you have the paperback, it means you are handling the book more while prepping! Even if you print it out, it's still AGGRAVATING to not have the temp right there with the recipe! This is SO simple, I really don't understand why it was done this way!

Overall it's a decent air fryer book, so if you need just a general "how to use it" cookbook, this one will suffice, as many of the recipes are variations on comfort food and are quite tasty, and her general how to intructions are very good as well!

carrot chips

Recipe:

Air Fryer Carrot Chips

Air Fryer Carrot Chips are quick and easy to make and a very nutritious snack.

Prep Time: 5 mins    Cook Time:12 mins    Total Time:17 mins

Ingredients:

16 oz Carrot Chips
1 teaspoon Season Salt
- Olive Oil Spray

Instructions
1. Start off by washing, peeling and cutting the carrots into even slices if you didn't buy presliced carrots.
 2. It is important to try and cut the carrots the same thickness for consistent cooking. (To get more flavor into your chips- use a waffle cutter)
3. Put the carrots into a bowl and lightly spray them with olive oil spray. Sprinkle the season salt and toss to coat the carrots evenly.
4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.
5. Add the carrot chips in an even layer. Try not to overcrowd the basket so the carrots cook more evenly. You may have to cook the carrots in batches depending on how big your air fryer is.
6. Air fry for 6 minutes at 390 degrees F and then shake the basket. Spray a little more olive oil spray if desired. Continue cooking for an additional 3-6 minutes depending on how done you like your carrots.
7. Cook until they reach your desired level of crispiness.
8. Serve hot. Recipe

Notes
This recipe is 0 points on the blue, green and purple myWW plans based on using 10 sprays of Pam Olive Oil Pump Spray.

While season salt is great, we found that making these before, we preferred to add Cajun Salt, French spices, Greek spices or even the ol' kids friendly dressing packet spices.
