As you know we've loved bringing you great FAMILY dramas, movies and series to watch, that are wholesome and not your secular chaotic common garbage (let's face it- it is what it is), and today I wanted to share a NEW show, that we have fallen for, that is on a GREAT streaming network, that offers a Christian alternative to the too liberal stuff you don't want your kids watching on those supposed 'kids networks'.

Especially when it comes to pre-teens and teens, you want to know that sexual content and nudity isn't there, when you can't be there to monitor what they are seeing! And let's not even discuss the relationship situations and drama! so knowing there is a channel that has teen and adult dramas, that your teens will WANT to watch, WITH YOU, is a parents dream!

Pure Flix is a safe and uplifting alternative to the mixed programming offered by other streaming services. While other sites offer a limited number of Christian films, and also have content that includes unwholesome language, worldly attitudes, and even content with ungodly influences and negative attitudes toward Christianity and faith, Pure Flix has only great content available and will continue to add more quality options as time goes on. With over 5,000 titles, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

We recently had the opportunity to check out it's updated roster, and find a great new series, that makes our crime drama loving hearts go "OOOO":

Vindication is a unique crime drama series that alters the perception of faith-based entertainment. Detective Travis (Todd Terry, Breaking Bad) has spent 15 years solving cases in the small town of East Bank, Texas. When the addition of an eager trainee upends his routine, Travis is forced to adjust his ways while balancing a growing number of suspiciously consistent cases. At home, tensions between the cynical detective and his devoutly religious wife escalate when their estranged daughter returns home.

Check out the trailer for Season 1:

Season 1 features 10 episodes- all of which can be binge watched RIGHT NOW on Pure Flix! What is unique about the series, is how it ACTUALLY emulates real life-real life is MESSY. People start to mistakes and then waffle and decide to take a different path, but that path might not be what they hope, or expect. The series shows how our FAITH can be part of that- how we can push aside our morals and faith, when things are messy and inconvenient, yet faith can help you through,  and teach you to LEARN from what tempted you away. All touched within a bit of detective drama. Yet, unlike your typical crime drama shows, you don't know what the ACTUAL crime was, until the end of the episode- where the 'vindication' comes into play.

There are some pretty important life lessons, here like emotional abuse, stalking, sexting, extramarital affairs, and family acceptance. And I like how the episodes are under 30 minutes. They're just the right length to keep teens interested, and allow for some in depth after-discussion, that doesn't make it seem like you're dragging your kids into 'family therapy'. Sometimes parents don't know how to approach these types of subjects with their teens, and the show is a great way to start the conversation. What we found was that my teen would keep stopping the show and tell me what she thought was going on, and how the show would end up. Then we'd compare how things turned out, and what could have been done differently, by everyone involved. Although I do have to say my kids is a bit more cynical, and didn't always buy how the stories played out, "uh-uh, real life isn't wrapped up like a Lifetime movie- there's messiness and leftover drama". She may have a point, but the point is that life COULD happen that way, LOL.

This is a really amazing series, both for teens and parents, and we really recommend it for every family!
