Review:

A charming cookbook, it is actually a full fledged info book on all things Regency period! As different things come up, the author gives the history and the whys behind different traditions and how the upper class lived during the Regency period. VERY enlightening, and helpful for those who didn't understand some of the things done in the books/show. The recipes themselves range from simple (like the one below), to more intricate and time consuming, which only makes sense, if you're making a Regency dinner feast! Some of the ingredients will require a trip to a specialty grocery store, or some online shopping. Those in rural areas, especially, make have problems finding some of them. Some can be easily substituted, others not so much. I would highly recommend reading the recipe ALL the way through and verifying you have everything you neeed to prepare the recipe before starting.

For those who LOVE the series, this cookbook with some of the harder to find ingredients, and a copy of the book it is based on, in a basket would be a thoughtful and fun Chistmas gift for any fan of the show!

Recipe:

My grandmother said a good biscuit could land you a husband, LOL.
These are right up their with hers!
They can be dressed up, dressed down, and used as basis for morning biscuit sandwiches!
