Southern Baby, Southern Sayings for Little Ones
by Rebekah Moredock, Illustrated by Jennica Lounsbury
Grandmothers especially will love giving this charming board book to their children and grandchildren, to help explain Southern 'slang' words and phrases, that they may still use. Especially helpful fo children who might not live in the South, it's accurate with one exception. Which coincidentally is the name of this blog, LOL.A true Southerner knows what it means, and it's not what comes to mind for a children's book! But aside from that, this is a charming book for gift giving!
This is an adorable book, made even more charming by the lovely and enchanting watercolor illustrations! As Blue questions his Papa, you can hear your child asking the same questions of you. It's a charming book that tackles some big questions, in ways small children will understand, and will quickly become a favorite with your child, so be prepared to read this one over and over!
