This holiday season, “The Great American Baking Show” co-hosts Ellie Kemper and Zach Cherry take audiences into in the iconic tent for a spectacular, celebrity-filled holiday special.  Six celebrity bakers fire up a holiday storm, as they whisk, bake, and fake their way to impressing judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.  SNL cast member Chloe Fineman, Oscar-winner Nat Faxon, Emmy-nominee D’Arcy Carden, Social Media star Liza Koshy, Superbowl winner Marshawn Lynch and comedian Joel Kim Booster put on their aprons and turn on their ovens, as they compete for the coveted cake stand and Star Baker crown.

Can our American celebrity's outlast the Paul Hollywood stare? The Prue search for the right flavor balance? I initially thought having comedians, influencers and a football star would be demeaning to the concept of the shop-which is bakers who are great, but arent professional. The picks seemed to be far far from their elements,but after the initial bake, it was obvious some of them actually had some baking skills they were downplaying. This holiday show is a preview of what the new American series will look like, when it appears in 2023, and it is very familiar to those that love the British original- there is the blind skill bake, and the final showstopper, where the bakers vie for the coveted cake plate. In the holiday show, it's one winner only, but in the series, it will follow the traditional, one person goes home each week format. This holiday episode gives you some great ideas for holiday cakes and desserts, and great preview of the series to come!
