Life’s biggest question: What happens when we die?

A new movie looks at that question:

About  the movie:

After Death is a documentary film, written and directed by Stephen Gray and Chris Radtke, the New York Times bestselling authors who brought you titles like 90 Minutes in Heaven, Imagine Heaven, and To Heaven and Back . The film chronicles the stories of various near-death experience survivors, and features analysis of these events by authors and scientists as they try to determine what happens after we die. This cinematic peek beyond the veil, examines the spiritual and scientific dimensions of mortality, inviting us to wonder: Is there life after death?

Review

This film can best be described from one of the quotes from the movie- "science meets religion in the evidence". Instead of just providing a Christian based concept of life after death, the movie creators have gone to the EVIDENCE:
- they show the medical trials that have produced evidence for what happens in the 30 seconds before and after death- how measured brain wave activity can account for the concept of seeing flashes of memory/your life's memories coming into film focus
-they share science trials where NDEs (near death experiences) are even experienced by those blind from birth, who have never SEEN color or faces, yet still see light, color and their family after death-  they can describe being out of their body and describes things around them  that they have never SEEN before
- how NDE experience crosses culture and religious beliefs- how it is the same experience of light and warmth/love. How people around the world come bac with the concept that life is really is ALL about loving others

Something that stayed with me from the movie was the description of "we live in a 2 dimension world, and those coming back from NDEs are trying to describe a 3 dimension Uber reality to us", and there is no way for it to be properly described. My mother had a NDE when I was young and that was exactly how she said she had problems trying to describe it. But knowing what she experienced, I was not surprised with the NDE experiences shared in the movie.

While the movie does have a Christian base, it really strives to show both sides- those that questioned and didn't believe and what their studies discovered and how it changed THEIR thinking. You'll find yourself wanting the movie to be LONGER (though at an hour and 43 min, it is long for a documentary movie, LOL), and hearing more from the different scientists and those who experienced NDEs. The concept of hell will take on a new meaning after listening to some of the NDEs- all is not peace love and God. It's a very though provoking movie, that stays with you for a long while!
