Review:

This nifty little book covers everything from appetizers to main courses, to dessert to themed alcoholic drinks! EACH recipe has a color photo that will literally make you want to make the recipe, and clear simple instruction, along with Word to the Woeful-little bon mots of insight about the history of the dish, how to change the recipe, or a related fact. Which means the book is fun reading, besides being a great little cookbook for fans! Our new favorites are already Black Cat Brownies (rival a famous coffee chain...), Taxidermied Mushrooms (perfect for the upcoming holidays!), Thanksgiving-Inspired Turkey Pinwheels (that can easily be adjusted to Post-Christmas fare), and Marie's Red Velvet Cake (perfect for Christmas dessert). My fav drink would be the Dark Side Dahlia! This is a fun book to purchase for yourself or to give to the over-21 crowd with some fun Wednesday items for this holiday season!

Recipe:

THIS chocolate cake is the one you dream about! Thick and rich, with a dripping ganache. You can take it up a notch with an addition of espresso or cinnamon! Or add some sweet bacon jam between the layers for an unexpected Wednesday touch!
