Synopsis:
For those days when you really don’t want to cook (and when you want to clean the kitchen after dinner even less!), The “I Don’t Want to Cook” Book: Dinners Done in One Pot is here to help. Whether you’re feeling tired after a long day, can’t be bothered with an extra trip to the grocery store, or can’t stand the thought of making an entire home-cooked meal only to have a sink full of dishes to deal with after, this book will become your go-to for making dinner a breeze.
Featuring 100 delicious recipes, this cookbook is your guide to the quickest and easiest recipes. Each recipe uses only one single piece of cookware—whether that’s a pot, skillet pan, or Dutch oven, every ingredient is cooked in the same place. Not only does that keep your cook time to a minimum, it also means you’ll spend less time cleaning up afterward.
Shake off those “I don’t want to cook” feelings and get cooking with this guide to quick, easy, and no-mess meals.
Recipe:
One of the easiest casseroles to make, you can literally make it the night before, throw the tate tots on from the freezer, right before you bake it and have it read in an hour, while everybody gets home from practice and takes showers.
Review:
Not only does Alyssa give you yummy recipes, she gives you great tips and instructions on using and maintaining your one pots. As a Southerner, I really appreciated her cast iron skillet section! The recipes cover everything you can make in one bowl or in one pot-old school or electric, so she covers all bases here. The recipes are for the most part pretty simple and she includes prep and cooking time, so if you have to prep beforehand you can,so you can cook the next day if need be. The recipes are filling and perfect for busy school/work days! We've loved the Artichoke Dip Chicken and Riced, Lazy Lasagne, and the Meatloaf Casserole! Looking forward to trying more recipes and you will love this book for gift giving too!
