Review:

This is definitely the oddity in travel books! It's part travel guide, part photographer guide, and part romance! Kruse weaves together a trip in Scotland, photographing places along the way for the guide, while also charting new and old romances. Leave that last part out and you have a stunning guide to all of Scotland that not only tells you where you should be going (see stops on map, right), what time of day, where to park (!!) but also where to stand and how to use your camera to get the amazing shots that they did! As you can see above, the handy little symbols, tell you at a quick glance as well! Now I may not want to hang off a cliff side or play chicken with an incoming tide, but overall there are great tips and tricks to make any of us look like professional photographers! An added bonus is that she drove across Scotland in an electric vehicle, so she also gives you tips about where you can recharge, and how long your wait time/cost might be- handy for travelers using a rental car! We will definitely be using THIS guide when we go to Scotland and you should too! Know someone going next year? Then you just found their perfect Christmas gift!
