Crime in the Tower: a fiercely addictive British mystery by Catherine Moloney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book thoughtfully blends the history of the Tower, it's guards, and it's grounds, to a standard British police procedural and comes up with a must read. If you aren't familiar with this series, the author does give you the needed backstory on the main characters, so it's as if you just met someone and learned about them. The new mystery at hand for the team to look over is a murder and a cold case abduction. But the more they dig into the past, the more the Tower's secrets strive to stay hidden. Plenty of red herrings will keep the mystery reader turning pages and trying to figure out the case with Markham and his team. Great into to the series (of which their are 21 previous books)!
