The brilliant new instalment of Katie Marsh's bestselling Bad Girls Detective Agency series
Synopsis:
Since Amber started the Bad Girls’ Detective Agency, she’s been feeling the pressure. So – when she and her best friends win a trip to a new luxury castle retreat on a remote island – she hopes it will be a chance to relax in style.
The girls are all excited to experience world-famous chef Valerie la Fontaine’s tasting menu.
But none of them expect there to be another dish being served that weekend: revenge. And when Valerie is found dead inside a locked room in a tower, the Bad Girls know this is a case that only they can solve…
Review:
In this hilarious third book in the series, Amber is trying to relax in a weekend away with her besties and employees. Only what they thought they were getting, isn't quite what is about to occur. A storm comes in, keeping the rest of the guests and employees from reaching the island, and just when they think it will be ok with a smaller staff, the Chef greets them and disappears, leaving them with a harried and confused staff. But with a journalist on scene, and things not adding up, Amber soon finds Valerie dead inside a locked room that no one could access, and she knows they have a killer among those left on the island. Amber is also struggling to keep her business afloat with money from her savings, and finding a wifi signal to transfer funds is high on her list of things to do, as the castle goes into more chaos. This book will have you laughing out loud, so be prepared for some strange looks if others are near by, and don't forget to read the previous books in the series too for more hijinks from the crew.
and gripping mystery – perfect for fans of The Thursday Murder Club, The Traitors, and How to Kill Men and Get Away With It.
