Kane is damaged, but still trying to push through, when he finds out he's been saddled with a rookie detective as his partner. Only Granger isn't a rookie, she has experience and is out to prove making detective was the right career path. As Kane and Granger start unsifting clues, they're left with more questions than answers. Then just when they think they have a solution, tragedy strikes and they have to reassess everything they thought they knew to solve this crime. A real page turner, Granger and Kane are a great team and I look forward to reading more books with them!
