Ah Labor Day..
Barbecues, swimming, music and....bored teens and coeds!
I've got a new product to share with you today that can take your boring Labor Day party into a hit with the Gen Z crowd- LaDot temporary tattoos!
LaDot lets you creates high-impact, temporary tattoos, designed for self-expression, without the permanence of a regular tattoo! Whether you're testing a new look, making a statement for a night out, heading to a festival, or just having fun, LaDot lets you wear your art proudly and wash it off easily (you can remove the tattoos very easily with some baby oil or make-up remover) when you’re ready for something new. It's like face painting for adults, LOL! And the best part? All the products are reasonably priced, so you can get a full set, or 2, for extended use! Which means- you Labor Day party will be the HIGHLIGHT of a long hot Summer!
We were sent a full array of the products to check out, and I gotta admit, I had just as much fun as Miss Grace using them!
The LaDot line includes:
- 8 different sets, that come with 1 large or 2 small tattoo stamps, 1 tube of their black, hypoallergenic and waterproof ink, 1 ink pad and 80 adhesive rhinestones.
- a set with the resuable ink pad with 1 tube of the black ink (which also can be purchased by itself for refills) -see pix on left
- 7 different colored waterproof fine line ink liners that can be used to color in your stamped design, or to add embellishments, or to draw your own line art (pix on right)
- stone stamps in varying sizes, including large roses and butterflies, medium flower/vine, stars and sugar skull, and small like a pawprint, heart (pix on left) or bee.
- set of 80 rhinestones in multiple colors and two sizes, that are easy to apply and remove as well.
You can feel safe using these products not only on adults, but kids as well, as all of their cosmetic products are vegan, free from animal testing, nanoparticles and GMP produced in Europe (where you know there are higher standards)! These are products you can trust! Look how SIMPLE it is to use the LaDot products:
Here is my attempt at freehand work using the LaDot Liners:
I would have had a thinner leaf design, but the dog nudged my hand and whoops...LOL, but I decided to go with it to see how a larger area held up! It only takes 10-15 seconds for the ink to dry, which is pretty amazing when you think about it! I would suggest making sure it is completely dry before adding any marks on top of the color (like the lines in my petals), to keep from having any smudging. Miss Grace tried out the stamp and liner colors as well, using the large floral stamp.
We both were pretty pleased with how both came out. I like the idea of coming up with a tattoo design, and then using the liners to try it out- it helps you to see how it moves on your skin, if the sizing is right, and if you want color or not. And it's a LOT cheaper than having an actual tattoo redone or lasered off because you end up not liking it! Tattoos have sort lost the concept of being permanent, so make sure it is what you want, and become more of a fashion statement, but LaDot lets you think first and then make that lifelong decision!
For the younger crowd, these are a great way to show your fun side for concerts, parties and the like, while still being able to remove it before you have a formal event. it's the best of both worlds! I can see this as a fun welcome to college gift idea for aunties to give to their fav new freshers! AND since all the products can be bought on Amazon, it's also super easy to send them via mail!
And the LaDot temporary tattoos LAST. Seriously last! Daily showers, all day hand washes, doing dishes at least once a day- they did NOT budge! The ink is supposed to last for 36 hours, but I wanted to see how long it could last, so I went beyond day 3. However the cat was playing with me and managed to scratch/chomp a bit off on day 5 (yes, pets can be hazardous to reviewing, LOL), as you can see from the picture. So I went ahead and removed it with makeup remover. Now because mine was a bit thick, it took a couple minutes of scrubbing to get it off, but it was came off quite easy!
If you don't have any makeup remover, or baby oil, handy you can also use an alcohol prep pad (which we found out when at the doctor's office- so my daughter updated hers with the liner, but then removed it completely at day 3 because she wanted to try something else, and it not being perfect aggravated her LOL). All in all it was a pretty simple process, that left no staining or marks!
This is a rather inexpensive, and original, back to school gift idea, with ink set around $15, stamps $5-$9, and liners around $10 (their big kits are not on Amazon yet), or to purchase and surprise your younger guests this Labor Day! They would also be great for football/soccer fans for game day to accessorize with a personalized number of your favorite player or team!
So head on over and check the different options out- you may just find you need a set for yourself too!
